More driving... this time to Te Anau
Sunday 2004-04-04
I seem to be falling into a routine. Spend most of a day driving, followed by staying two nights in a location. Then repeat. Today I'm driving from Dunedin to Te Anau. It's about a 5 hour drive.
I spent the morning in Dunedin. Went to the famous train station - it's beautiful. Then explored the city a bit more and bought a couple of books. After lunch I hit the road - destination Te Anau. The drive was nice, although I didn't take the scenic route - not enough time. Te Anau is the gateway to Fiordland - home of the fiords of New Zealand and Milford and Doubtful Sounds. I arrived at my B&B just after dark, settled in and had dinner. I went to sleep to the sound of heavy rainfall. Hummm... what would it be like tomorrow when I was on Milford Sound?
