Time to leave...

The sun is just about to set in Paris. Across the street, at the Jardin Luxembourg there is an exhibit of arial photographs. The photos are huge - about 5 feet by 4 feet - and they're hanging on the fence around the Jardin. I'm directly across the street from an arial photo of thousands of pink flamingos in a lake in Kenya. It's beautiful. About 15 years ago I visited Kenya and saw those same flamingos. The photo is taking me back there...

Today I explored a number of areas in town that I haven't seen before. I just picked a street that looked good and started walking. It was a nice way to end the trip.

This has been an almost perfect trip. It was a nice mixture of new and old things, of traveling by myself and with friends, of leisurely walks and frantic running to catch trains. I don't want to leave, but still it will be nice to be back home. If only so I can start planning my return trip!
